Dynamic, playful, life-affirming and now and then a little absurd music theater for all ages.
Youth and music-theatre Het Filiaal, founded in 1994, is based in Utrecht (The Netherlands). The productions of Het Filiaal tour with great success not only in Dutch and Flemish theatres, but internationally as well. Our productions vary from sensational music theater for venues of up to a thousand people, to well thought-out art projects on a much smaller scale wherein children get acquainted with all aspects of theater. In addition, innovative educational projects and art lessons for elementary schools are custom-made by Het Filiaal for each production.
The artistic team consists of director Monique Corvers, composer Gábor Tarján and object theater maker Ramses Graus. In their work they bring together professional actors, musicians and visual artists. The loving precision and sense of humor with which text, music, acting and visuals are then integrated, has come to be the trademark of Het Filiaal.
Het Filiaal is the largest youth and music-theater company in the Netherlands’ central region and the company's work is highly appreciated by both adults and children. Het Filiaal is structurally funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture & Science, and by the province and City of Utrecht.
